Write a Book That Turns Readers into Paying Clients

In 2016 I wrote a book called Gutsy Glorious Life Coach so that I could give it as a gift to new clients who signed on to work with me.

In it I walk the reader through 46 STEPS to building an online coaching business; it even included many of the legal steps one had to consider (because you can’t take the lawyer out of this entrepreneur).

The book became an Amazon bestseller in 5 categories… my book even beat out Gary Vaynerchuck and Jeff Walker!

Little did I know that that book would continue to get me clients to this day.

And little did I know I would eventually write a book that would teach online business owners — coaches, course creators, service providers — how to write a book to attract more customers and clients. That book is called BOOK to BUSINESS: How to Turn Readers Into Paying Clients.

The key to attracting clients and customers is figuring out how to stand out from everyone else who does what you do.

Writing a book makes you stand out.

People pay attention to people who write books.

Which is why writing a book is the most effective marketing tool available to online business owners. Sadly, it’s also the most underutilized because business owners think they “can’t write a book” because they’re “not a writer.”

Now, if we were talking about a work of fiction, you’d have to know how to write.

Writer vs. Expert

But when it comes to a non-fiction book designed to serve your ideal clients, you don’t have to be a “writer,” you have to be an expert, i.e., you have to know what you’re talking about. You’re not going to write the next Great American Novel, you’re going to write a book that solves a problem you know a lot about.

And — here’s the best part — you don’t have to write hundreds of pages; 50–100 pages is all it takes. Besides, people aren’t reading your book for its entertainment value, they’re reading it to solve a problem for which they haven’t yet been able to find a solution. The faster you can help them do that, the better.
